Hospital Concierge Service (Now That's Outside of the Box!)

Courant.com recently reported about the Hospital of Central Connecticut's new concierge service.

The service allows for patients, employees, physicians, etc. to access goods and services while they're stuck in the hosptial. The Courant reports, "volunteers wheel a metal cart into patients' rooms to let them know about the concierge services, offer them free newspapers and give them the concierge's phone number.

The cart is stocked with toothpaste, chocolate and other essentials that patients can purchase. Patients can also borrow reading glasses, check their e-mail on a borrowed laptop and receive free handmade lap robes." Wow...that's thinking outside of the box. Congrats Hospital of Central Connecticut for taking it to a different level.
